I found this curious, compelling and unusual. I enjoyed it very much. The book explores and contrasts family and romantic relationships, and has great central characters, especially the narrator. There are still some questions left unanswered at the end, an ending which surprised me a little. Considering the slightly morbid subject, the book was great fun. It was also a very quick read, with short snappy chapters and a concise writing style. I particularly enjoyed the styles of English employed, which varied according to the person speaking. It makes a refreshing change to read a book that is not set in the US or the UK, but in a country that I am personally not acquainted with. I'd love to read more by this author.
