I am giving this 3.5 stars as it was brilliantly written, easy to read and a real page turner. The narrative and the characterisation was great too but despite all these positives I was really disappointed with the ending. In fact I was quite angry at it, I felt let down. Had I liked the ending perhaps I would have given this 4 stars! I could have easily enjoyed another 100 pages so that a few characters could have had the ending they deserved but then again real life doesn't work like that so why should fiction!
Despite being annoyed at the ending I am really looking forward to reading other novels by this author as I loved the way this story was written and I would definitely recommend this to others.
