Having looked forward to getting this book I really loved it and found it very hard to put down. I feel it was slightly (very) hard done by to not make the Booker shortlist but never mind! The title is quirky and the lovely green title font makes it stand out from the others on the shelf.
This is a very well written story which quickly grabs your attention and holds it all the way to the end. I like the laid back style and the unusual setting. The characters are brought to life and although Ayoola is exasperating, it is great to read about someone a bit different from the usual. Korede is so different to her sister and this makes the story tick along so well.
