This is a tricky one. I really enjoyed many aspects of this book, the dry and dark humour, the relationships and their development and the fact that I devoured it in one day must be a good sign! However it was quite simplistic in form, it oddly read like a teen book but with much more adult content. That juxtaposition did take a bit of getting used to but I definitely enjoyed it. It's a different angle on a murder that I've not thought much of before, how it affects those people who feel forced to cover it up and the decisions they have to make. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys crime but I would say it's more a look at society and individuals than at crime as such. The cover is very striking and is actually one of my favourites in terms of capturing the essence of the book.
