This is a real gem of a book, and black comedy doe to it's finest. Korede and Ayoola are sisters, and complete opposites. Korede is the level headed, sharp sister who cleans up after her impulsive and lavishly confident sister. Ayoola has an unfortunate habit of murdering her boyfriends. Things come to a head when Ayoola shows an interest in a doctor Korede has fancied for years.

Braithwaite does a brilliant job of centering this relationship between the sisters, and both are genuinely loveable despite their obvious flaws.

This feels a truly modern book, and one supported by the richness of it's setting in Lagos, which comes to life in multisensory descriptions.

You certainly do not want Ayoola to be caught for her crimes, but what will stop her from commuting more?

I very much enjoyed this book and would recommend to anyone, especially if you grew up with an irritating younger sister!
