Stories set in other cultures don't usually appeal to me as much as ones I can really picture in my mind, but this one was definitely a reminder that I need to broaden my reading horizons.

I devoured it in a day. Right from the start I felt sorry for Korede, the main character, whose younger sister was taking the Mickey a bit, scratch that, A LOT with what she expected from her.

I found myself really detesting Ayoola the younger sister, and couldn't understand why Korede would cover for her, protect her and go running to her at her beck and call. Their difficult upbringing with their father seemed to shed a llittle light on their relationship but I still really badly wanted the main character to stand up for herself and tell the truth.

Overall I loved the story, despitethe killings all being so casual and the sister being a mug.

I felt the story could have continued, adding more of an appearance from the mysterious man in the coma....Maybe this is being saved for a sequel. I hope so!
