I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but ended up thoroughly enjoying it! It was dark but entertaining, and I found the characters both likeable and charming, despite the story-line. I found this book really easy to read - the short chapters helped with this. The narrative of this book was set in Nigeria, which was something I had not experienced before; whilst the main plot of this book was of course murder and Ayoola's way of 'getting through' her partners, there were more serious topics included which the author integrated really well.
The front cover is dark, but sets the narrative well, and catches the readers' eye. The only possible negative I have of the book is that it perhaps could have been longer, and the story-line lengthened out a bit more. I look forward to reading any more books bought out by the author in the future.
