I did really want to like this book. Fortunately, it's so short that I didn't DNF it. But it was different and not really in a way that worked for me.
I wasn't really a fan of either sister. And I guess you're not meant to be. But Korede seemed a little too naive and was very frustrating. Oh she's in love with her boss. Oh, she'll do anything for her sister because of their childhood. Oh, she'll spill all of this to a patient in a coma. It felt so stupid and that was frustrating.
I did kind of like the way it was written. It easily enabled you to get into Koroede's head so you could understand her. And you do have a lot happen even without a huge amount of action. So it's very character driven.
I guess I just expected something that felt cleverer. Or it could just be that this book wasn't for me. It's not something I'd usually pick up but that title made me so very curious.
