This was an easy, quick read with the book being just over 200 pages it could really be read in one sitting. The chapters are lovely and short which kept the book following nicely, this is the main reason I kept reading it

The book is not what I expected at all, and I definitely wouldn’t describe it as a thriller. It’s more a story of the childhood abuse and bond of two sisters.

Although it is a very different and unique take on a serial killer theme, it just didn’t really work for me and I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

The main characters Korede and her sister Ayoola are both extremely unlikeable. Ayoola in the obvious way that she kills her boyfriends in ‘self-defence’ or boredom, and Korede in the fact she lets her sister carry on destroying lives without so much of a word about it, and never standing up for what she believes is right.

I did find the ending quite shocking, but it wasn’t how I was hoping it would end.

Overall I was disappointed with this book and the title is very misleading. If you are looking for a thriller this is not the book for you
