This book wasn’t necessarily what I was expecting. It was witty, modern and entertaining to say the least. The book had an interesting structure of short chapters - some only a few sentences long. The structure and development of the story was good, the characters were well formed, but I feel as if the ending wasn’t what I was expecting - or wanting.

The story follows two sisters, one of whom has been responsible for the death of two of her previous boyfriends as the story starts. And the second sister is instrumental of the disposal of said bodies and covering up her sisters crimes. Ayoola was irritating to say the least - careless with life and the feelings of those around her. She consequentially entraps a Doctor whom Korede works with, and is in love with, and the story unfurls.

The ultimate question of the book is whether Korede will stick by her sister and her apparent killer ways, or whether she’ll follow her conscience and come clean. They say blood is thicker than water, but sisters are also prone to disagreements. I liked Korede’s character and felt for her in many ways, afterall she’s torn between protecting her sister, and doing what is right.

This book lacked grit for me. It was an easy read, and despite the subject matter, quite a carefree read. Which probably appeals to some, however, I would’ve rather this novel be a bit more “thrilling”.
