Quirky crime thriller with a twist in the tale.
Korede has looked after her sister since she was born and so when her sister keep killing her boyfriends it is to Korede that she turns for help. As a double act they soon get cleaning a crime scene and disposing of bodies down to a fine art.
All this changes however when Korede, who is in love with Tade, a doctor in her hospital discovers that he is in love with her sister. Despite her warnings their relationship continues and Korede is forced to turn to desperate measures to protect Tade and prevent her sister’s murderous rampage continuing.
This is not Korede’s only problem however as she tries to maintain her day job as a nurse while trying to keep herself sane and able to manage the staff whom she is in charge of.
This is a very easy to read book with short chapters that keep the action moving along at a brisk pace. It is also funny in places despite the subject matter while also being serious in discussing familial relationships in Nigeria and more generally.
