This book had me in stitches! Sarcasm and dark humour mixed with crime! It was a really good read! It’s not my normal kind of read but I really enjoyed it!
I’ve mainly chose it because I felt the cover looked really interesting and, reading the blurb, I just had to read it!
Korede and Ayoola don’t have the most lovable personalities but I could still feel sympathy for them. Their relationship was portrayed really well and makes you think of the importance of family.
I enjoyed the fast pace and the short chapters and I really just wanted to see how the book was going to end. The plot is really interesting and the ending took me a bit by surprise. I also enjoyed how it focused on some recent I society issues like social media and the focus on beauty.
I was really surprised that this is a debut novel by Oyinkan Braithwaite and will be waiting for her future work.
