I decided to read this because I had seen it advertised In a lot of bookshops.
It also has an eye catching cover - the colours used and the reflection in the glasses.

I personally think it is very overrated.
I finished it, don’t get me wrong, it I didn’t understand the hype.
I found that the characters were hard to connect to (I understand ones a serial killer!)
The ended seemed to just happen. I felt like it could have been slightly fuller - it was almost like a large chunk of the story was removed to make it a quicker read.
I felt annoyed by Korede's character a few time’s, she seemed flakey and could have been stronger. Ayoola was a slightly irritating character for me but I felt that added to the feel of the story - she was annoying her sister as well as the reader.
It isn’t the worst book I’ve ever read and maybe I’ve judged it more harshly because everyone had spoken about it highly.
I was left really unsure once I finished it. I read it quickly but not 100% sure once finished.
