This book follows Korede, whose sister Ayoola often calls upon after dispatching her boyfriends in ‘self-defence’. This has happened three times now making her sister a serial killer. When her sister becomes involved with one of the doctors in the hospital where Korede works as a Nurse, she starts to question whether she is doing the right thing by protecting her sister, or whether she should go to the police about her.
I really enjoyed reading this book, it was so uniquely written and I loved the short chapters! Initially, I thought this book was going to be more of a ‘thriller’, but it is more about family dynamics, and how much one is willing to sacrifice in order to protect family members. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a shorter read which still delivers in quality! Looking forward to other books by this author!
