My initial thoughts on reading the first page was that this is superficial, wealthy "in-set" spoilt your folk with nothing better to do than worry about their looks and relationships. This was confirmed by reading more. It is very girly, full of infinite details of the clothes they are wearing or thinking of wearing, make up, etc. I am also not keen on reading descriptions like "bumfuck" and "shithole". Yes, I understand that it may be current language, especially in the USA, but it lacks subtlety. This is not a book that makes you think, or conveys undercurrents of life experiences. Not for me.
