I really enjoyed reading this book, it's definitely the best one I've read for a while, it contains very likeable characters and has a plot suitable for my age group.
My favourite character was Nikki because she was so positive even when things got tough and she was driven by her desire to succeed .
Being a teen myself I could relate well to the characters and their struggles. I liked the way it covered a serious topic such as being outcast by your family but it still made me laugh in places so was a good mix of drama and humour.
I was pleasantly surprised by the ending and glad it didn't disappoint.
The book gives a good message of perseverance in the face of un-acceptence and I'd recommend to any teenager facing similar challenges in their life.
I'd love to read a sequel about what happens next in Nikki's life and the highs and lows of being a performer.
