I am definitely not the target audience for this book but I thought I would give it a try as the cover did intrigue me.
I did enjoy the relationship between Mal and Nikki, how he allowed her to make her own decisions and supported her.
Certainly was sweet but it is definitely aimed at a younger audience.
I was intrigued by Nikki's' relationship with her mother and how it touched on an issue that is prevalent but I found that I was disappointed with the ending.
To me, it was a predictable happy ending. A quick understanding of why she treated her the way she has and her mother just suddenly changes her behaviour.
It may just be me, but it seems a bit unbelievable and too easy.
Personally, it wasn't realistic in that sense to me but everything else I think was really quite good. I enjoyed it up to that part.
