This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely go out and read her others. I really liked the characters in this book, they were complicated and likeable and real. I thought the relationship between Nikki and her mum was really interesting to read, however I would have liked to learn a bit more about her mum. I know we were told some about why she is the way she is but I would have liked a bit more.
I don’t want to give any spoilers but for me the ending was just a little too open. I tend to prefer some closure at the end of a book.
I loved the short chapters as it gave the book a really good pace which meant I ended up reading the whole book in a day.
Overall I would definitely recommend this book to both young adults and adults.
