Her mother is very religious and this makes things harder on Nikki.
because her mother wasn’t allowing her to do the same as other girls that were going and she didn’t want to be the odd one out.
Her mother didn’t even realise what she wanted to be when she left school, her plan was to move out, maybe even go to Texas and have a singing career.
She wasn’t able to talk to her family about this, just doesn’t seem to be enough love there unfortunately.
She thought that her friend Malachi would support her in this even if her own mother didn’t but he seemed to want her to stay where she was. Malachi Said to stay with him for the week and he would prove that she had other chances apart from singing.
