Our main character Nikki has quite a hard home life. Her mum is struggling to bring up Nikki and her sister on not much money, Nikki finds herself homeless and moves in with her friend Mal and his loving family. Will Nikki find the love she has been searching for her whole life with Mal and his family?
Nikki is a very likeable main character, her story is very interesting and it is easy to root for her. The other characters such as Nikki's mum, Mal and Nikki's friends were also enjoyable to read and they all had their own interesting story (especially Nikki's mum as she is struggling to bring up her two children and she had struggles growing up too).
Overall I did really enjoy reading this book but I did find certain parts predictable. Maybe I am slightly older than the target audience and that is why I picked up on where the story was heading. Nevertheless, this is a really fun, easy and in depth YA book.
