Wasn't sure what to expect from this, but I absolutely loved it. This is definitely not just for teenagers or young adults. I found I couldn't wait to read the next instalment - an absolute page turner. It's really easy to read, pick up and put down (I dare you to put it down though).

This centres around an 18 year old girl, with a difficult relationship with her mum and how her best friend opens up a world of emotions and words.

The emotions and words of Nikki towards her life growing up and all the angst with her mum was so heartfelt. There were sentences in here that I use myself and could not have put it better.

I couldn't stop raving about this to anyone who knew about my relationship with one of my parents. Joya puts this so wonderfully and I was absolutely gripped once the real story started. I have just spent the last four hours finishing this book off as I wanted to know how the main female character's life (well a week!) turned out.
