Perfect balance of everything good in a book

This book has a perfect balance of everything you would want from a reading experience. I have previously listened to the authors previous work via audiobooks which provided a great reading experience. This book I also listened to. The narrator was brilliant and the author had fully fleshed out the characters which helps with the audiobook experience as it feels that much fuller of an experience. As a YA book, I see how perfectly it is aimed at that age range and I can see how it provides comfort, laughter, and reassurance as the characters experience a typical teenage life. I know it would have been helpful to me at that age. It is typically predictable but not every book has to be full of twists and pain. Often we turn to books to escape the real world and I believe this book could be helpful in doing that, particularly apt for adults looking to get back into reading too.
