I really enjoyed this book. I think it would be amazing for someone slightly younger than me and I will be recommending it to younger family members!
I liked the characters and the build up and the fact that there was an extra bit of romance!
Nikki was an interesting main character, someone who a lot of people can relate to in wanting to escape her small town and start her career in music. Nikki has realistic relationships with the other characters in the book, including her mother, sister and her friends. She also realises how much she loves her best friend, who happens to feel the same way. It’s a heartwarming relationship and it is very relatable to a teen or YA audience.
I really enjoyed reading the book and I think that I would definitely consider reading or recommending any new books by this author, especially if they branch out to more traditionally adult books.
