This book is a modern friends to lovers story, which also consists of life lessons for the characters. A coming of age book is perfect as it allows the characters to reflect on their own lives and also the impact they leave on other people. This is amazing intertwined with a friends to lovers as both characters can analyse what made them like eachother and the characteristics that each character has which allows the relationship to work.
The characters are loveable and allow for a great story to be told. I haven’t read a book from this author before, so it’s good that i’ve discovered her and am able to sense whether she is a good author for my sense of reading style, which i believe she is. Anyone who can tell a great romance story whilst ensuring it’s not cringe or overloaded with romance deserves to have a large fan base as it can be a difficult thing to do.
