I wasn't expecting to read about a children's football game and a car crash from what was is the book description. However, I think the character of Rose is well painted, and I guess we needed the car crash for Rose to be in the position of being rejected by her family (evidently she is already on the brink from the moment we meet her.).
I am interested to read on and follow Rose as she unravels further.....
