I really enjoyed reading this extract, and it is left on a cliff hanger! The characterisation of Rose is brilliant, her desperation and conflicts consume her and brought into the writing really well. The synopsis sounds like it will be an engaging and addictive read, and Rose's insomnia and the problems this causes will likely make this an interesting read.
The cover is simple and sets the tone. I like the shadowy look with a little splash of colour. It doesn't particularly jump out to me though I do like the effect of lights at night time.
