As the main character starts to obsess over what has happened to the young man who leaves a note stating that he is dead if you read it, you the reader start to obsess a little bit yourself.
It kept me guessing at every turn as to what was happening and why.
Fear that the protagonist was in danger kept me on the edge of my seat.
I felt myself sympathising with the young girl, imagining myself in her shoes. Terrified and bewildered would be the strongest overwhelming emotions.
The reveal as to what happened did have me a little disappointed though as I felt the author could have taken a different direction and made a much better more suspenseful conclusion. None the less overall I really enjoyed this one.
