Night Without End

Following the birth of her twin daughters Rose Shaw suffers debilitating insomnia which makes her struggle to function normally and lives in a perpetual daze caused by lack of sleep.

This haze she lives in culminates in a tragedy which alienates family and friends and leaves Rose on the verge of what seems to her, to be madness.

One evening while pacing the streets, a running man bumps into her and then quickly disappears into the darkness.

Left behind was a journal which Rose picked up and took home and read which led to her being on a mission to right the wrong which had occurred to the author of the book, a guy named Finn Matthews.

We get to read his journal too as we progress through the book and understand why Rose is so desperate to right the wrongs he suffered.

Finn tells his reader that if they do read his journal, he will already be dead, which makes Rose give her all to try and get justice for him.

With no help from the police she puts her own life in terrible danger in her search for the truth.

I found this book a compelling read as I joined her in her mission and being a poor sleeper myself, I could relate to how her insomnia affected her very being.

Very thought provoking and written in a way that the reader feels themselves a part of the story.

Even after the last page had been turned, I found myself still thinking of Rose, which I think is the mark of a good read.
