Although the descriptive prose in this is okay, I found the dialogue felt heavy and without a natural rhythm.
The premise sounds great, but I found the lead character unsympathetic....she acted in ways that were just stretching things too far, in fact a lot of the characters were unlikable, and not in a good anti-hero way, just in an irritating way.
Situations and background...such as the main characters home life were unrealistic, and yes I get that as a family they'd been through an awful situation but I just think their living situation was beyond the bounds of what reasonable people would put up with and it felt contrived.
