From the start I felt immersed in the Morocco. Jefferies provides a vivid description of where the story is set and from the start hooks the reader to the mysteries that begin to unfold. Each character is interestingly brought into the story. The disappearance of Clemance's mother leaves the reader intrigued to find out who has disappeared and why. However, when one mystery ends, another begins, with even more interesting characters.
