What a treat! This romantic cover leads me to expect a traveller's tale and the opening scene is beautiful and far from my life in an English town. But the intimate writing style immediately leads from one domestic problem to another with Dinah Jeffries' wonderful observational style of writing mingling beauty with homely details and nuanced emotions, sprinkling mysteries along the way. This is the sort of storytelling which I'm sure to enjoy.
