This is an interesting start to a book I wouldn't mind continuing. There seem to be many secrets that will be revealed in future and the descriptions of the setting are vivid and good despite the slightly slower pace of the story. I like the cover too, though I feel I would have perhaps preferred a small image of a building on the cover too. But despite never having read any of the author's previous work, I'm intrigued by this and want to read more of this book.
