I love Dinah Jefferies' books. She really makes you feel that you are actually in whichever country she is writing about - you can imagine vividly the smells, the clothes, the food, etc. You also learn about all the customs of that country. I have read most of her books and this one looks as if it is going to be just as appealing as all her others.
