What more could you ask for in a historical fiction novel that sounds like the perfect beach read? An exotic location, family secrets, a mysterious stranger from the past... I love the setting, the time period and the many questions the opening chapters raise. I also like the descriptions of Moroccan culture - food, architecture, dress, social customs - and the idea of learning more about its political history. I've read a few books by this author so I'd expect a bit of drama, a bit of romance and a few unexpected events. The only thing I'm not keen on is the cover, it looks a little bleak.
