I have read Diane Jeffries book once before so I know that she has always got the history aspect of her books absolutely perfect. Just the right level of absorbing.

This book has many different qualities which I would say make it a strong story.
-The granddaughter is a strong woman and her struggle to stay and work through her trip is admirable. It makes me want to root for her and see just how she does.

The other thing I know I will enjoy is the granddaughter’s curiosity and yearning to know her grandmother. I want to know her secrets and whether she has a romantic connection with anyone in the book as I am guessing she does.

I have already read Dinah Jeffries’ book The Missing Sister so this story holds a lot of promise, richness and intrigue for me. My expectations are high and the story has already made its way to my shopping list!! Excited is the word.
