The cover of the book sets the scene of conspiracy amidst the sandy background of Marrakech. One of the protagonists, Clemence a 75 year old grandmother who despite a history of family turmoil has carved a place for herself in a patriarchal system, wears silk kaftans but is a mean shot with a gun! Her granddaughter Vicky comes in search of family knowledge, career introductions and character enhancement with a love interest being found along the way. Certainly two women cut from the same cloth.
