This is the third book in the Daughters of War Trilogy, however it could be read as a stand alone book. The story is set in post-war Morocco and is full of history, love and danger. Morocco is in turmoil and no-one seems to trust anyone.

Vicky Baudin travels on a train to Marrakech to meet her grandmother home is in the Atlas Mountains. We are also introduced early on to other characters who grow within the story including Beatrice, Vicky's cousin, Ahmed who works for her grandmother and the owner of a riad in Marrakech where Vicky stays for a few days. There is a growing danger from people who want to hurt Vicky and her grandmother. Who can one trust in these situations?

Reading the story one gets the feeling of the cool, quiet of the mountains and the vibrant life which happens in Marrakech. the writing gives the reader colour, atmosphere and also the tension of life in an middle eastern country.
