Unfortunately I am still waiting for this book to arrive, I'm really hoping it hasn't got lost as it was a book that I was excited to have won because the extract really peaked my interest.
I thought the characters started with great potential to captivate and carry the story along, keeping the reader engrossed and entertained, along the journey (literally as it is about a train journey).
There is a promise of beautiful scenery which I imagine this author can write in such a descriptive way that the reader can picture the beauty directly from the page.
I have not had the pleasure of reading anything else from this author so as I was so engrossed from the very beginning of the extract I can't wait for this book to eventually arrive, I am looking forward to settling down with a nice cuppa and some snacks and enjoying the sun and this atmosphere of this novel.
