Having being a bit of a globe trotter in the 1960's I can relate to Dinah Jefferies night train to Marrakesh in a rather evocative way. I visited Tangier from Gibraltar a couple of times and on one occasion the foot of the Atlas mountains so some great memories' to recall.

The story revolving around Vicky and her grandmother Clemence was both vivid and at the same time riveting.
The further into the story I progressed the more I refused to put the book down.

I wish I had read the others in the series prior to this one but as a stand alone it was a great read. The others will no doubt follow soon for me.

Dinah Jefferies has the enviable ability to shed light in the corners of a story by way of skilfully navigating the tense scenes in a way that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat.

A credible story with a wealth of back ground colour brought alive by the skill of Dinah's pen.
Thankyou Dinah I look forward to your next literary achievements.
