This just wasn’t for me. I mean I didn’t want to pick it up, I had to force myself to read it. I don’t know why because it would be a book I would usually read. I found myself having to re read pages so I know what was going on.
Respectfully I understand this is based on a true story and it’s a hard hitting book but I felt like it didn’t flow in a way I expected, it felt long winded and that it didn’t need to be long.
Hats off to the author who poured their heart and soul into this book and it shows and I really wanted to enjoy it for that reason but I felt like there was a lot going on but it just wasn’t as fast paced I thought it would be.
I have seen reviews from people who really enjoyed the book and then others who struggled just like me but I do think that this book is good for people who want to read something personal and hard hitting. I give this 2 stars because it just wasn’t for me.
