This young girl is forced to grow up in a world most of would rather not know, she makes poor choices to survive and has to live with the implications that they cause her.
Forced into sex work, she is soon exploited by the very people who should be protecting her however the bond she shares with her young neighbour Trevor, feeding him, getting him to school, becoming like a mother to him endears you Kiara even more and you can’t help but hope she will come out fighting.
As a debut novel, there were plenty of twists, likeable and unliveable characters to keep you reading.
