I want to start by saying thank you to Tandem Collective for inviting me to join the readalong for Nightcrawling as I was looking forward to reading it.
So im actually gutted to say this was my first Tandem readalong book that just didn't do it for me!!!
I just couldn't get into it and really struggled to pick it up and then when I did I had to re read the last few pages as couldn't remember what had happened previously.
I did feel for Kiara and the situations she was in due to her family and the company she kept, but I struggled to follow what was going on with her and when.
I appreciate this is based on real life and the author has done a fab job with the portrayal of what life is like for many people in these situations, but as a fiction book it just didn't draw me in.
