My first impression of this book is how horrifyingly real this situation could be. I’ve recently read and enjoyed The Beekeeper of Aleppo and American Dirt so it will be interesting to read another book of this genre, albeit with a very different yet equally harrowing set of circumstances. I look forward to reading more.
