Everything about this book screams importance for 2022. The cover is quite simple and catches your eye because of the soft and settling colours, however after reading the blurb and comparing it to the cover, there is an obvious contrast. The cover is beautiful but the blurb makes you feel less settled, the mention of the Immigration Law suggests hardship and pain for the characters and it's definitely enough to draw you in and make you question what can come for these people. From the short extract I have read, it is satisfying to read and flows extremely well. There is potential for this book to be a big book in 2022 and hints at some extremely important topics which are still overlooked in this day and age. I definitely want to read this book and understand the journey of the characters, and explore a lifestyle different to my own.
