I like the book cover and the idea of birds with no place to land.
I have to confess though that the title makes me think of "leaving the landing light on" (or there being no landing light on) so much that it's distracting my thoughts on the book.
This is not normally the type of book I would read. The concept isn't particularly new, families have been torn apart by war & etc. for centuries, but this has a modern setting and I am drawn to knowing more.
