This is the story of a young Syrian couple who met while living in America. Sama first went to live in America in 2010 because she wanted to get an education and a better life for herself than she would have had in Syria. Hadi was a refugee who had fled from war torn Syria fearing that he would be imprisoned or killed if he stayed there.
The couple met at an event and they soon fell deeply in love. Within a year they had married and were starting a family. They were both optimistic about the future of their new family. When Sama was in the middle of her pregnancy they got some very bad news. Hadi`s father had died suddenly. This meant that Hadi had to go back to Syria to arrange the funeral. He managed to do this but more problems started as he was on his way back to America.
There was a travel ban that prevented travellers from certain countries getting into America. This included refugees like Hadi and it meant that he could not now return to his new home, his wife and his soon to be born baby.
