After reviewing the first few chapters I was hoping for a book that I could read and enjoy BUT-although the story was good AND most POSSIBLY REAL it made me feel sad that we as human beings treat others so badly.
It is a love story that goes wrong through the fault of Government and the people who are charged to uphold the laws at the time.
Neither Sama or Hadi were able to be together to share in the happiness of their newborn son.
There were times in the book that I could not understand if Sama and Hadi were talking on the telephone OR thinking at the same time.
You could feel the desolation in both their plights and hope that their lives could change for the better but I suppose this is reality and like Hadi I do not like it.
I really liked the references to the foods and feel I need to know more and hopefully enjoy the tastes as did the characters.
