The way we treat other human beings is absolutely disgusting. All because a handful of wallys of tried and succeeded many times in blowing up parts of the world. Now, many of the same race are tarnished with the same brush and its horrifying what happens to these innocent people. Also it doesn't help that America voted in the most insane person in the world to lead their country!
This story is about two people living in a foreign country, trying to make a life for themselves. Hadi's father passes and he heads back to Syria to arrange the funeral. On his return the president has issued a new law that all natives of Syria and other such countries, even those with refugee status, are not allowed to reenter the USA. This puts Hadi in a serious predicament as his pregnant wife is now all alone in Boston and he only has a one month visa for Jordan before he has to vacate.
A really great read, and an eye opener into the treatment of people fleeing war stricken countries. Highly recommend!
