What a win!
Having stumbled upon this website only recently, I was lucky enough to win this book on my introduction to this site.
The book itself is visually very eye catching, and was one of the points that drew me to enter the competition initially. The contents continued to be just as eye catching.
The book tells a story of a young Syrian couple who battle against the travel ban imposed by the previous US president. Having an interest in current affairs, I was well aware of the travel ban but this story brings to life truly how it at has, and continues to affect people.
(I urge anyone supporting that ban to read this book).
The book was poetic and created beautiful imagery when describing; well, almost everything! It made me: happy, angry, sad, laugh, cry, hungry - ha ha
All round belter book in my opinion. It will go on the shelf for a second/third/ fourth time read 👌🏼
