There wasn't a lot to go on from the prologue as to what the book will be like, there were hints at two different strands to the story: someone secretly videoing a woman getting changed then blackmailing her to keep it secret; then the cop who will obviously end up investigating the matter who is a bit angry as the job she had been training and studying for and should have been a shoe in for had been given to a relative of one of the higher ups.
Then just as the extract was ending we are getting to a hit and run case, is it related to the blackmailer at the beginning, was the mother of the child the woman being secretly recorded? Not sure how the cover fits with the story from the blurb/extract though.
